Washington, D.C. - The U.S. Travel Association today announced locations for its next seven annual IPW marketplaces, locking in host cities that span America through 2020. Future host cities are:
  • Chicago, Illinois – 2014 (last hosted in 1998)
  • Orlando, Florida – 2015 (last hosted in 2010)
  • Miami, Florida – 2016 (last hosted in 2009)
  • Washington, D.C. – 2017 (first-time host)
  • Denver, Colorado – 2018 (last hosted in 1991)
  • Anaheim, California – 2019 (last hosted in 2007)
  • Las Vegas, Nevada – 2020 (the 2013 host)
"We are bringing the largest generator of inbound travel to some of America's most remarkable destinations," said Roger Dow, president and CEO of the U.S. Travel Association. "IPW creates tremendous value for all attendees – buyers, sellers and media. This landmark event generates an estimated $3.5 billion in future travel to the United States, with host cities and states further benefiting from the exposure it provides."
U.S. Travel's IPW is the travel industry's premier international marketplace. It is not a typical trade show. In just three days of intensive prescheduled business appointments, more than 1,000 U.S. travel organizations from every region of the U.S. (representing all industry category components) and about 1,300 international and domestic buyers from more than 70 countries conduct business negotiations that result in future U.S. travel. At IPW, buyers and sellers are able to conduct business that would otherwise be generated only through an exhaustive number of around-the-world trips.
